July Beauty Favs!

Hi guys, how have you been?
Hope all is well, coming at you guys today with a beauty related post, I don't really do a lot of these and my blog isn't beauty based but I've been getting into make up a bit more lately and I wanted to share my current favs with my readers!

If you follow me on Twitter you would have already read about some of the ones I have been raving about!

Firstly I want to start off by apologising for the lack of swatches, the lighting in my house is beyond terrible so I have left them out but if you would like to see them just let me know...

Now, on to my favs! :)

L-R: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser in Walnut, MAC Soothing Beige Lip Conditioner, MAC MSF Gold Deposit, Reb'l Fluer by Rihanna, Sleek Blush in Sahara, Natural Collection Loose Powder in Warm Translucent, Topshop Nail Varnish in Geography Teacher, Beauty UK Eyeshadow Collection Palette in 4.
Not displayed above:  Mary Kay Timewise Foundation in Bronze 3 and Sleek Pout Polish in Bonaire.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser: This is a fab product which I bagged off Ebay for just under £14! I don't really like wearing foundation as I find it too heavy and obvious so I look for tinted moisturiser, I've seen a lot of people raving about this so I decided to try it out but I didn't want to spend the £33 so I took myself to Ebay! I love this product, the colour fits me PERFECTLY, it moisturises well and has great coverage! The only con (which isn't really a con for the product) is that when I visited the LM concession in Westfields, the tube looked different to the one I have, I don’t know whether I have an old tube or a fake but either way it works great and I will definitely be buying the full price product from LM when I finish this one.

MAC Soothing Beige Lip Conditioner: I have blogged about this before when I first brought it and it has been my staple ever since! I find it hard to wear lipstick and pull it off because of my big lips :/ but this lip conditioner gives me a sheer tint as well as moisturises without leaving a sticky residue. This cost around £11 but you can find a dupe with the Sleek Pout polish! BTW looking forward to the Sleek Pout Paints! Tres excited!

MAC MSF Gold Deposit: I needed a warm highlighter so I brought this and the MAC cream base in Improper Copper, I am definitely loving Gold Deposit. I use it on my cheeks to create a light shimmer and the other day I used it on my eyelids near the duct as a highlighter, it blended really well with my eyeshadow! This is a great product for the bronzed look and its multi faceted, cant fault it!

Reb'l Fluer by Rihanna: First of all let me start by saying this was not on my shopping list, but I was persuaded by the shop assistant to have a whiff and I've been loving this ever since. I love fruity, sweet scents, so fragrances like Ghost Sweetheart, Miss Dior Cherie and Flowerbomb, and I have been looking for a new perfume, relatively cheap to keep me happy for a while, this is a sweet smelling fragrance with a slight musk, it shares similarities with Theirry Mugler's Angel, but at £20 for 30ml you cant go wrong. This is a fragrance reserved for nights out on the town!

Sleek Blush in Sahara: I DO NOT KNOW how I have been living life without this blush in my collection! This is a great blush and I am loving the colour, it gives a subtle hint of colour to my cheeks, for a more intense colour I add a bit of Flushed to my cheeks too. Sahara can be worn everyday and at night as well. I cannot rave enough about this blush, in fact all the Sleek blushes are great, I own Flushed and Aruba too but I will be looking to extend my collection, for less than £5....AMAZING!

Natural Collection Loose Powder in Warm Translucent: I have never used a finishing/loose powder before, I own MAC Natural MSF in Deep Dark but at times it is too dark for me so I wanted to try out a translucent powder and for the price £2.99 I believe, this works well! It sets my makeup, in terms of keeping my makeup matte, its not too great but until I fork out for MAC P&P, I'm perfectly happy with this product.

Topshop Nail Varnish In Geography Teacher: I have FINALLY found the perfect nude nail varnish! I fell in love with this colour on first use! I am a big fan of the TS nail varnishes, I rate them highly; at the same level as the Barry M varnishes and right now I am leaning towards TS varnishes due to the brush (weird but I have short nails and the brush really helps with precision) and the wide range of summer colours, they have quite a few pastel colours as well as nudes, you can purchase these at TS for £5.00 a pop!

Beauty UK Eyeshadow Collection in 4: It has taken me FOREVER to learn how to apply eyeshadow, with the help of Youtube I am slowly getting there. I find this such a hard task because I have hooded lids but as they say practice makes perfect! I purchased this palette from Superdrugs after watching a video by Lauren Luke. These palettes retail for £4.00...can anyone say BARGAIN! And they contain 10, yes 10 great shadows, the colours are fab, very vivid and pigmented. I purchased the coppery/smoky palette just to start me off, it works well for beginners like me as it has a highlighter shadow, a base colour, smoky colours and lid colours, it practically does all the work for you, all you have to do is a bit of blending. I would purchase this again, possibly the purple palette but my main plan is to purchase a BH Cosmetics palette and get every colour possible!!!

Here are some pics of me wearing my Mary Kay Timewise Foundation (seen here in an earlier post) Beauty UK Palette, MAC Lip Conditioner and Sleek Sahara blush, they all go so well together!
