I'm sorry to all my UK folk for this one but I had to post this!

MAC Cosmetic Blunt Blush | $22.00 is a blush I had been looking for for AGES (blame YouTube) but could find nowhere, reason being? It's not sold in the UK!

Don't ask me why, is just isn't - which sucks!

Thankfully I've made some amazing friends in the world of make-up and Larisa kindly sent this ever elusive blush to me from the US in the sweetest package ever (see HERE for more deets)

Blunt blush is described as a muted golden brown which rings true when looking at it in pan but when swatched it morphs into a flat slightly burgundy toned brown (I know, I know, describing colours is not my strong point, sigh!)

The hype around Blunt blush is that it is perfect for us brown girls to use as a contour/bronzer shade as despite it's look in the pan this shade is pretty deep in tone as you can see from my swatch above.

As with most matte blushers from MAC the blush itself is pigmented but easy to blend which is why I alternate between using it as a contour powder and as a bronzer.

If you're of my skin tone and a shade or two darker I believe Blunt blush will work well for you otherwise why not look at the newly released MAC Cosmetic Sketch and/or Film Noir Blush | £18.50 each  which can also be used on deep to deep dark skin tones, just be sure to use a light hand as Film Noir can be hard to blend as from my experience swatching it in store (see Temptalia's swatch HERE for a clearer picture of what I mean by hard to blend).

All in all I'm happy to have this blush in my collection, it works great for my skin tone which is what I love!
