HAUL // BUDGET BUYS

I love me a good budget buy...not everyday expensive!

I've been perusing the shops lately stocking up on some budget buys and I have to tell you I feel pretty good about what I've picked up.

I've been eyeing up the Sleek i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in Ultra Mattes V2 for a while now so was glad to snag this baby for under £7 from eBay. The shadows have amazing pigmentation and blend out like an absolute dream. Glad I added this palette to my collection!

I'm always on the search for a good but inexpensive setting powder so I had to add the L.A. Colors Mineral Pressed Powder to my wish list after seeing a YouTuber rave about how fantastic they were.
I picked up the shades Sand (to set my highlight) and Toffee (to set the rest of my face) - the powders retail for £3.99 each at Beauty Base (White City and/or Stratford) and come in a range of colour however the deeper shades at White City were nowhere to be found.
I tried these powders over the weekend and I'm really like them, they don't feel heavy but leave you with a flawless base if applied with a sponge or a more natural look if applied with a brush.
Coverage wise I cannot comment on that at present as I am yet to use these powders on their own but so far so good!

I also picked up the LA Girl Pro Conceal - Orange Corrector (£4.99) from Beauty Base. I have a few orange correctors but I wanted to see whether this inexpensive one was worth the hype - so far the judgement is out.

The New Look Pure Colour Bronze Baked Bronzer (£6.99) was a spur of the moment buy that worked out so so well for me. I am currently in love with this powder.
When it comes to being a WoC bronzers are not bronzers to us but highlighters and this baby is what was missing from my collection. I understand the need for highlighters, especially for someone like me who loves the matte look but I just can't fully love the vivid shine. It's too obvious but this powder gives a beautiful natural sheen, making your skin look glowy without being obnoxious.
The buttery consistency of this powder makes the product a winner in my books - plus its WoC friendly! Winning!

I've never really been that interested in Topshop's beauty line especially as WoC are not catered to, their dark concealer is a joke - it's almost insulting however on a trip to Westfield I decided to look around their lipstick stand and managed to pick up a few non base products.
Firstly a nail varnish that caught my eye, I've been looking for a vivid neon green nail varnish for a while so I was ecstatic when I saw this beaut, Apathy - I think this will look amazing on deeper skin tones.

I also picked up the Smokey Eye Palette in Enigma (£12.00), mostly because it looked so beautiful and works well as an easy smokey eye palette. The swatches I took in the shop really impressed me - I was particularly impressed with the dark matte brown as good matte shades can be hard to find on the high street.

Last but not least from Topshop was this gorgeous grey/mauve lipstick Lips in Boardroom (£8.00).
This lipstick is described as matte - it really isn't but it is a beautiful stone mauve grey which works well as a nude on my skin tone but lip liner is needed to avoid ashy lips.

A few weeks back during a trip to Boots I came across the new Maybelline Dream Bronze BB Cream  (£4.98 on offer) in Medium/Deep. I had the original in Deep which had a great formula but the shade was too light so never really used it.
For some reason I decided to swatch this in store - so glad I did!
The shade is perfect for my NC50 skin tone (click HERE for my other foundation shades) and the additional of golden shimmer gives the skin a youthful glow - this would be a fantastic product if you suffer from dry skin or want more a glow. You can see me wearing the BB Cream and the New Look bronzer combined HERE glow much?! ;)

Last but not least I picked up two super inexpensive Makeup Gallery Nail Varnishes from Poundland that I am loving, I picked up the shade Latte and Mushroom.
I'm complete obsessed with Latte, its a great nude neutral shade for my skin tone;.
The varnish itself is pigmented and goes on smoothly, you'll need two layers for an opaque finish.

Love me some bargain buys!!
