I've been AWOL. I'm really sorry.

Sometimes life can be challenging and right now the score is Life 8, Natalie 0 but we shall persevere IJN.

Whilst blogging may have taken a back seat in my life, my love of make-up has not.

I love new products, what make-up junkie doesn't, but for some reason I've been paying more attention to what's already in my stash and I've really been enjoying using a few particular products from my stash to the point where these have become my immediate favourites.

NARS really hit it out the park with this foundation!
The reason why I love this is down to the coverage, this foundation has fantastic coverage which means I can skip colour correcting.
The formula also means it's not heavy on the skin either. Just a good all rounder for me!
Initially I did have issues with creasing with this foundation but I don't really have that any more, I mean, my smile line will forever be visible but besides that I have no issues with this foundation, I'm even in love with the shade which has a gorgeous golden undertone.
Guys I could rave about this foundation for a while - I just love it!

My God! I was not ready to love this.
I just was not readdddddyy.
I saw the hype on YouTube but it did nothing for me, but when Nana sent this to me, I thought OK Natalie, give it a chance.
I did and I AM IN LOVE!
I don't know what it is but it is gorgeous!
Champagne Pop has this gorgeous light pink/peachy undertone that just works so well at taking your highlight to another level, it truly is stunning!
Nana told me that she applies this over Topaz which is what I have been doing as well and I love it!

A big shout out to the gorgeous Lesley for this buy.
If you have golden/yellow undertones finding the right foundation can be a real struggle.
Nowadays it seems if darker shades are available they are mostly packed full of red undertones which doesn't work well for everyone.
Cue the MUFE Chromatic Mix.
Mix a few drops of this into your foundation to bring out those yellow undertones.
I've now been able to make use of more of my bases which I'm so happy about!
I like to mix this into my MUFE Ultra HD liquid foundation as well as my Cover FX Custom Cover Drops to help manipulate their undertones.
I'm so glad I have this in my possession, I'm telling you right now, customized make-up is the way forward!

I've been in love with these concealers for a while and I still love them.
Whenever I wear make-up I head straight for these babies to highlight.
These concealers just work so well for me, to the point where I shun my NARS and MAC concealers.
I use 4 main shades for highlighting: Toffee, Fawn, Cool Tan and Warm Honey.
I opt for Toffee or Fawn for a subtle highlight and Cool Tan or Warm Honey for a more dramatic highlight but nothing too crazy.
These highlighters blend out a dream with a beauty blender and I'm a big fan of their consistency too, they never leave my under eye feeling dry.
What's best about them is how affordable they are, you really cannot beat the price, in a world full of ridiculously priced products, LA Girl help you to save pennies without compromising on quality.

If you're looking for a natural everyday foundation with a bit of coverage, look no further.
Man, I love this foundation.
Now, I should stress I'm not really a fan of stick foundation but after seeing quite a few positive reviews I bit the bullet and picked this baby up during a Black Friday sale.
At first I wasn't too blown away but I had been applying my bases with brushes as opposed to my beauty blenders for a few weeks.
I then decided to blend the foundation out with a beauty blender and I fell in love!
Such a naturally flawless finish!
My skin looked fresh and not "London tired" and best of all was how lightweight it felt on my skin.
I want to wear make-up but I don't want to feel it on my face, you feel me?
This base is gorgeous and blends out so well with a damp beauty blender.
This has been my go to for an "everyday base".

If you know me and this blog you'll know my love of Makeup Monsters liquid lipsticks.
This indie brand have the formula down to a T for me.
Gorgeous shades, lightweight and non drying.
Hit The Dirt is my absolute favourite liquid lipstick, the rosy brown tone compliments deeper skin tones soooo well. I've been in love with it for a while.
Just Add Marshmallow is a shade I use to manipulate deeper shades. If you apply Just Add Marshmallow to any deep shade, preferably a dark brown (think Jeffree Starr Dominatrix or even Lime Crime Salem) you'll get a stunning milk chocolate 90's lip colour that I just fall in love with time and time again!
My only qualm right now is the price, not so pocket friendly when P&P is added :( but I can't lie I have two more shades added onto my Wants list, sigh.

What are your current favourites?
Any you think I should check out? I'm always open to suggestions!

  2. Last year, I absolutely hated the Nars all day luminous bcos of how oily it made me. But I never found a foundation that golden tone gorgeousness and full coverage. I ran to Sephora to buy it. Am in love!!! I just pair it with a good mattifying primer.
